I'm the guy who started this forum site. I'm a recent returnee to ham radio after about 15 years of keeping quiet on the ariwaves, so I wouldnt describe myself as an expert in any aspect of ham radio. I do like the VHF and UHF bands in particular and love experimenting with antenna design.
I have just started taking an interest in HF as my daughter will be sitting for her F-call soon, and will have an HF rig on which to talk to me from her home. I have a ham radio website that I'll post in another part of this forum, and invite you to visit it.
Hi Tim, What a great idea to have the forum up and running. My name is Kaye and I am a member of the Gold Coast Amateur Radio Society on the Gold Coast.
I have been in amateur radio since 2002 and I am a net controller and editor of the club magazine. I also do the news for "Q News"., when required.
Also just a reminder that it is the annual Hamfest on Saturday 11th. November 2006 at the Albert Waterways Hall, the rear of Pacific Fair so if there is anyone out there who is interested in attending you will be most welcome.
There will be plenty of food and also tables in abundance so you may come home with a goodie or two. 73 for now Kaye
