wanted for new radio club

Hi all

I'm in the process of collecting the gear to start a new radio club at the school where I work. This year I took my own gear in and got the children interested, so now its time to get the kit together.

At this point I have a 2m mobile that was donated to us, and an irlp node that I've just completed.

So, I'm after an HF rig, preferably solid state. Must be in good working condition, but cosmetics aren't that important. If it has an inbuit power supply, all the better, but not important. I'm willing to consider anything, but will be a bit choosey ( I'll read all about it before I commit my money ) with what I buy.

Manual not important, but it MUST be available for download from somewhere - preferably the service manual too.

At this point I've received no financial or other support from the school, other than "yes you can do it" which is a great pity, but I'm pretty determined when I get started, so listen out for us! My plan is to get a couple of F-calls out by the end of next year.

Given the space restraints ( and lack of enthusiasm from the powers that be ) for antennae at school, an 10m - 80m rig will be ok, but again willl consider anything.

Thanks for your time. I look forward to hearing from you. you can contact me on vk4yeh_spam@gmail.com

Thanks to the generosity of Jack Woodward VK2NEG, I have a Yaesu FT-901 and other assorted gear for the club, including a very nice HF trapped vertical.. He gave them to us at a greatly reduced price compared to the "open market", so we are now ready to take to the air.

Thanks Jack.
